My Background
Amy obtained an A.A.S. in Paralegal Studies from Tidewater Community College in 2016. Shortly after graduating, she began working as a bankruptcy paralegal to follow her passion for helping clients. After mastering bankruptcy, Amy chose to expand her knowledge to litigation in order to make a more sizable impact in the lives of clients.
Amy’s passion for helping others is her primary motivation, and her love of paperwork, law, and organization are the perfect match for her role. Amy’s time at Alperin Law has expanded her knowledge base, and she enjoys having the opportunity to work in an office with wonderful co-workers and daily mentoring and encouragement from Attorney Ryan Reyes.
Outside of Work
As a local of Virginia Beach, Amy lives and breathes the community traditions, from the summer festivals at the Oceanfront and peach picking in Pungo, to exploring First Landing State Park and the Botanical Gardens. Amy also enjoys reading, gardening, and exploring new restaurants and local breweries with family.
Practice Area
Amy is the litigation paralegal at Alperin Law and works primarily with Attorney Ryan Reyes. Most of Amy’s work focuses on litigation in wills, trusts and estates, guardianships and conservatorships, contract review, and negotiations and settlement agreements. Outside of litigation, Amy assists with proactive Medicaid planning and Medicaid crisis planning. Amy supports clients every step of the way, from the initial intake call to partnering with clients in legal decisions until the matter is resolved. Amy strives to form strong relationships with every client she works with and pays great attention to detail throughout the entire process. Amy maintains strong communication with clients by providing them with all of the legal documentation and information and being available for any questions they may have.
